Ofc one could say: it's a lottery, you knew this could happen. How? How does that stimulate me to spend more? The results for a pull you paid for turn out worse than the ones you saved for. Even mathematically it's about 6 epics you can hope for (yes, probability theory says you'd better hope for 4, but hey, don't list the chances at 16% then!). Now, what do you expect to happen if you actually buy a shard pack and use it again? Something at least not worse, right? The mercy system (if it ever worked.) did not kick in yet, but during an x2 you kinda expect something nice. So, the shards saved and used without a pack were actually a pretty good deal. Read: something you get WITHOUT buying the x2 packs.Īcceptable but not too good - I didn't get any imba leggoes, and the one that was (Valk) was a dupe, but I did get some nice epics, which may be useful in future - even the Skullcrusher (so I can one day build the UK team if I get other missing pieces). I say semi-free because it's not a pack of shards that you actually pay hard cash for, but rather something you accumulate from various sources, including CB and even dungeons. And these semi-free ones actually turned out acceptable. First I used up my existing reserves (mostly Rookie pack), and my gems to buy more. I saved up for the x2 for quite some time specifically because I don't want to pull shards in vain. Ok, first of all, yes, I did donate money to Plarium, and probably more than I should have, but it's the last instance of the x2 that really makes me question it.
